Where I Was
- I grew up in the Finger Lakes region
- Went to the same school from K-12, graduating with 70 people in my class
- Started working as a busser at 16
- Worked my way up to working events w/ the head server
- Worked events from intimate rehearsal dinners to full 200+ people weddings
- Fell in love with working weddings & how they’re just a huge party to celebrate love between two people
- Graduated Salutatorian from HS & went off to college at SJFC
Where I Went
- During college, I worked at Urology Associates of Rochester, going from a receptionist to the Assistant Event Coordinator
- I helped to plan & run the ZERO 5k for Prostate Cancer
- I also was in the First Generation Scholarship program, focusing on leadership
- Started volunteering with animal rescues
- Graduated with a major in Marketing & a minor in Accounting
- After college I started working at my first Marketing agency
- After a few years in agency, I began working in-house for Life Storage
- In 2017 in my first wedding party for my best friend from Kindergarten
- I continued to be in more bridal parties, taking on bigger roles
- Worked liquor promotions for brands such as Deep Eddy, Tullamore Dew, & Sailor Jerry
- Started attending marketing conferences in 2019
- Left Life Storage due to a merger & was brought onto the team at NSA Storage
- Hosted showers & other events for friends/family as a hobby
- Managed EDM shows in WNY with DJs such as Wooli, Terravita, Sikdope and more
- Worked with dozens of photographers, makeup/hair artists and other vendors
Where I Am
- After a year & a half + a promotion, I was let go from NSA with no warning
- After 6 years in the corporate world, I was sick of the politics & red tape
- After updating my resume & sending it out dozens of times, I realized I needed a change
- I decided to take a risk & do something I’ve always wanted to do – start my own business
- I want to help people with the knowledge & experience I’ve gained over the years
- Thus, With an “Oh!” was born!
